Episode 3: Cygnus Alpha
Need to write something down to get it out of my head and try to make sense. Ok, let's do it...
Had a Helpdesk ticket come in many months ago asking if the mobile display screens will still be usable after we de-activate the University Zoom licence. Knowing these trolley screens as well as I do, I answered that the screens are generic and not tied to any software and will still be usable. Now, many months later, they want to know why they can't use Zoom on it. They have been informed that we no longer have a Zoom licence. They then came back to say they were told it would work.
Hmmm. I've looked at the old ticket and I'm convinced I answered correctly. And I did. I've checked this old, closed ticket at least 5 times now. And now I can't seem to let it go and now I'm obsessed by it.
Did they mean just the screen? Or just Zoom? Or is the screen not what they described? Did I answer the question correctly? Did they give me correct info?
And I'm now in a panic. I've asked one of my techs to visit and check the screens. I won't be able to focus until I get an answer. What the fuck is wrong with my brain? Why do I keep getting stuck in these loops? This is getting far too serious and I'm taking up too much of my life worrying if there's something wrong with me. Clearly I have an issue but what?
I need comics and some kind of relaxant. Cally, could you fetch some Soma please?
